Aucheidh

Aucheidh represents an imaginary, and highly unlikely, minor Highland Railway station somewhere on the Moray plain. A couple of siding and a passing loop outwith the platform. Tricked up to look like a through station, in reality it has to operate as a terminus, as there is no hole in the sky at the right hand end to allow it to continue. It started out as a test track to allow me to run my locos for more than half a metre of straight test track, rather than a serious attempt at a layout. It folds together to store on a shelf under my workbench. Copper clad 9 feet sleepers at HR spacing with 30 foot rails, sadly lacking ironwork as I never got the hang of solder ball chairs. Points are loose heel operated by stalled servos.

Layout is approximately 1.65m x 0.25m
