Inverneuk
by Anthony Yeates
A small freight yard set somewhere in the Highlands of Scotland,
in about the 1970s. The layout folds in half to fit in a standard A4 boxfile.
The roof of the goods shed is removed for transit, as it the top part of the warehouse
building. The layout was built to see if this was a viable concept for an operational
layout in 2mm scale. It was also an ideal first project to try out 2mm finescale.
The track uses plain rail soldered to PCB sleepers as it pre-dates the introduction
of "Easitrack". Buildings are scratchbuilt based on photographs from
various Highland locations. The Layout is approx 70cm x 20cm when opened out.
