Banff station

by Ian Noble

The layout is modelled on the Great North of Scotland terminus at Banff, the period being late 1940/early1950s. Banff station closed in 1968 and no trace now remains apart from the rock face. The track uses bullhead rail soldered to PCB sleepers as it pre-dates the introduction of "Easitrack". Buildings are scratchbuilt based on photographs of the station. Engines and rolling stock are a mixture of white metal kits, etched brass kits and converted Farish or Peco. The layout has recently been to DCC.

It has been extended from the original Banff station to the line from Banff to Knock.
